Remove the lifts from your park day’s recording. Load a GPX from a lift-served (or shuttled) ride and this page will hand you back a GPX file with your ride’s actual miles and elevation gain.
Requires a .gpx file from Strava, Garmin, or other GPS recording device
This only works with YOUR Strava account. You cannot load other people's rides.
Re-running detection clears any manual lift/run overrides and boundary adjustments. Detection also checks that a climb is fast, steady, and straight enough to be a lift line — winding pedal climbs stay in your ride even above the minimum.
Which file for Strava? Use the FIT file — it records each lift as a timer pause, and Strava honors pauses in FIT files, so lift distance and climbing stay out of your stats (each run also shows up as its own lap). Strava's GPX importer, by contrast, ignores gaps and re-adds the straight-line distance and climb between runs, so the GPX is best for other platforms and tools. The zip gives you every run as a separate file if you'd rather upload standout runs as their own activities. Either way, delete the original activity first, then upload at strava.com/upload.
